KANDACE MONIQUE POCHÉ BROWN, MA, LMFT
MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the state of California. License No. 119693.
I developed my passion for therapy at the age of 12 as a school peer counselor. Since then, I have engaged in volunteer and professional work in clinical, residential, and non-profit settings in multicultural communities. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine and earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chapman University in Orange, California.
As an empathic and experienced professional, I provide support with compassion and understanding, acknowledging that you are the expert in making the change you want to see in your life. I find it important to honor you and your needs, accept you as you are, and value the unique concerns that you share. Together we can find healthy and manageable ways for you to heal, cope, or tackle whatever you present with.
I have experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am trained in EMDR and have additional training in Gottman’s Couples Therapy (Levels I & II), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I support and accept individuals of all races, ethnicities, religions, socioeconomic statuses, genders, and sexual orientations.
